I recently underwent a breast reduction using the vertical scar method which Lisa is so well known for and I can safely say it is the best decision I have ever made. I have wanted this done since I was a teenager, however, I was always concerned about finding the right surgeon. I was lucky enough to have a friend recommend me and I’m grateful I can now do the same for others!

This really is a life-changing surgery, not just for the alleviated neck and back pain, but how much my confidence has grown makes it worth the price entirely. I used to come out of the shower or get dressed trying to hide away from my partner and even myself.. always feeling self-conscious and upset with my body, but it is safe to say that ship has sailed! I finally look and feel much happier and more youthful which is how everybody should feel, and Lisa made this all possible.

From the minute I contacted Lisa I knew I wanted to go ahead with her as my surgeon (and luckily the hospital was located in my home City which made the process even better!). Both Lisa and her manager Liana kept in frequent contact with me making sure I was completely prepared and Liana did everything she could to get me dated as soon as possible which just proves how much they value the patients they have. I also decided to undergo this procedure in the midst of a global pandemic, but throughout the whole process, I felt safe and supported both emotionally and physically. My regular follow-ups have been carried out over Zoom which is actually more convenient for me due to work and Lisa is always just on the other end of the phone if I have a question (which I have had many). I’d recommend this 1000x over to anybody considering it.

I visited Lisa for breast reduction surgery in 2015. I was 65 and had hated being “well endowed” all my adult life. I have narrow shoulders but was a 38GG or H, everything was out of proportion and it was impossible to find clothes that fitted properly or I felt good in. I had aches in my upper back, shoulders and permanent neck issues, as well as divots in my shoulders from my bra straps. My self-esteem was at a pretty low ebb, I had become overweight and lost interest in myself. I had thought about a breast reduction for ages but it felt self-indulgent and wrong somehow, so I didn’t mention it to anyone.

Eventually I talked to a friend and then my husband about it as well as my GP. My GP suggested some local surgeons but I didn’t feel fully comfortable with any of those options. My friend was discouraging but my husband was hugely supportive and it was actually him who had found the recommendations of Lisa both online and in the national press. From that point on I haven’t looked back.

I felt embarrassed on my first visit to meet Lisa but she was so empathetic and supportive that quickly went away. All the preparation and information before the surgery was very informative and helpful and when it came to the time to check into the clinic I felt completely at ease and excited about the prospect. Now, 18 months after the surgery the scars are minimal and I am delighted with the size and shape of my breasts. I am a different person in my head, I feel good about myself and wish I had done it years ago. It’s impossible to put into words what a difference it has made to my demeanour and attitude to life and the people around me.

If you are thinking of similar surgery, I cannot recommend Lisa too highly and would say don’t delay! It has been life changing for me and I’m so pleased I didn’t wait any longer.

The care I had at every stage has been second to none. Lisa’s calm and supportive approach is mirrored by all the staff at the clinic from the first visit – it’s a great team and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the clinic.

I had a breast reduction nearly four years ago, after much deliberation and uncertainty. I was suffering with a bad back and neck with deep grooves on my shoulders from my bra straps, and really didn’t like myself very much.

After a weekend away with girlfriends and getting upset on a beach because I was feeling so self-conscious in a swimming costume, I was encouraged by my friends to go and talk to someone about the possibility of doing something about how I felt. I had always dismissed having surgery because I felt that it was always a self-indulgent wish – which would be un-achievable. I took their advice and went to see Lisa, I felt I wanted to see a lady – and I am so glad I did. I was extremely embarrassed, but she put me at my ease and told me what a life changing operation a breast reduction was. She was not wrong – I have never looked back, I was a 34H moving into a J cup, found clothes extremely difficult to wear, let alone a swimming costume and had to wear a size 18 to accommodate my size, when I was really a size 12 and I felt I just looked ridiculous.

I am now a 34C and can wear anything I like, and have even tried a bikini at 50 years old – and it is a complete joy! I don’t have pain in my shoulders or my back, I am able to run and exercise again – it has truly been life changing. I would recommend it to anyone who is being compromised by having ‘over large’ breasts – I can walk tall, without rounding my shoulders to hide my chest and have a new found confidence – and my girlfriends still talk about what a huge change they see in me for the better!

I would recommend Lisa and her team wholeheartedly, she genuinely cares about wanting to make you feel better about yourself and takes you through it one step at a time without any pressure whatsoever. She is not in it for the money but just helping you feel better about yourself. She has patience and an amazing understanding and will spend all the time you need discussing everything you will need to know about the procedure.

I decided to have the surgery that I have always wanted when I was off on maternity leave from work so that the 12-week recovery would not be affected by my physically demanding job. The Vertical Breast Reduction surgery was fully explained to me, and the realistic results were discussed at length. I have always worn clothes that are baggy and ill-fitting to hide my large breasts. For years I managed to squeeze myself into a 36DD bra, but after a discussion with the surgeon I think I was definitely closer to a G cup. I would never consider wearing a vest top or any other tight-fitting top in public but since surgery I have completely changed what I wear as now I have greater confidence in my body shape.

I had seen Ms Sacks surgical work before I decided to ask her to improve my physique. She gave me realistic expectations of the surgery, scarring, pain, length of recovery and how the vertical breast reduction would be the best procedure to give me the size and shape of breasts that I wanted. I woke up from surgery and was comfortable. For the first few days I took some pain killers (Paracetamol & Ibuprofen) but didn’t experience any great discomfort. I stuck to the recovery plan for 12 weeks which is essential for a good and painless recovery.

My posture has improved dramatically since surgery. The pain in the top of my shoulders has completely gone and my self-confidence has grown so much. I am now wearing fitted clothes and feeling confident in my appearance. I feel so much better about myself. I work and at home, hardly any of my friends or my colleagues are aware that I have had surgery. They are aware that I have changed what I wear, but not why. I am now a 36B and am not being knocked around when I run or have by boobs tied down within an inch of their lives. 

Ms Sacks was there for me at all stages with advice and insights from pre-surgery through to recovery with in-person consultations and Zoom Meetings due to Covid restrictions. She has kept in contact at regular phases of recovery which were pre-arranged for convenience. She is so kind and makes you feel very relaxed. To me, she feels like a guardian angel that has made a huge difference to my life. 

The cost of the surgery was reasonable. At the end of the day, I saw it as an investment in my future life. I was aware that the hospital offers a finance package which can be helpful to spread the cost if needed. My only regret would be not having this surgery with Lisa Sacks years ago. I honestly can’t recommend her enough; she is very professional, easy to talk to and a fantastic surgeon.

I went to see Lisa Sacks back in 2003 for a breast reduction. After having two children, my chest had increased in size dramatically, and my right breast had also become much bigger than my left, so much so that buying clothes to fit properly became a mammoth task and one I did not enjoy. My self-confidence was at zero. At my first consultation, Lisa was wonderful and so kind. She explained the whole procedure step by step and in great detail, answered any questions I had, and made me feel at ease very quickly. When I came home that day, I was actually excited about having surgery and couldn’t wait for it to be done. I knew straight away I had nothing to worry about and that I had put myself in safe hands. 

After my op, Lisa came to see me and explained that everything went extremely well and she was very pleased with the result. She also told me that my breasts differed in weight by about 350grams (the equivalent to a can of coke). This had now been rectified and I now had breasts that were evenly sized and proportioned to my body. When I saw the result for the first time myself, I was over the moon. I couldn’t believe how great they looked and how even they were; I was so happy. 

I went home the next day, and following all the aftercare advice I was given, my recovery was very quick with very little pain and discomfort. I still had to see Lisa occasionally for a while after so she could make sure the healing was going well and to her satisfaction, and she was always happy with the results. This is routine and part of the recovery process for any patient. Having this surgery changed my life and gave me the confidence which I never had before. Shopping became more fun, exercise became more enjoyable, and going on holiday and wearing a lovely swimsuit was something to look forward to. I will never be able to thank Lisa and her team enough for what they have done for me, and I will always recommend her to anyone who is considering this operation. I would also like to thank Liana, Lisa’s assistant, who has been there from my very first appointment to my very last.

“Wish I Had Done It Years Ago”

I waited until I was 54 to have my vertical breast reduction and my only regret is that I didn’t do it a lot sooner.
I have gone from a F to a D cup and the difference is incredible. No more neck pain, my posture has improved immeasurably and the beginning of a dowagers hump has completely gone. Yes it is expensive and yes the recovery is lengthy compared to a more traditional method of breast reduction but it is worth every penny and the scarring is minimal.
After spending the majority of my life having activities and clothing dictated by my breasts it now feels like complete freedom. I am far more confident and as a result I walk taller and am told I now look a lot younger.

“My only regret is not doing this sooner”

I was 35 when I had my vertical breast reduction with Lisa. I was having so many back, neck and shoulder issues, even after having spinal surgery, so my physiotherapist suggested that maybe I looked into a breast reduction to help with the pain in my neck and shoulders. While searching for a surgeon I came across Lisa’s website and I spoke to Liana. 

I met with Lisa and she put my mind completely at ease and I knew that she had to be the one to help me. She explained everything so beautifully and made sure that I knew exactly what to expect and what the process would be. I needed someone to hold my hand through the process and Lisa’s caring and informative nature was just what I needed. 

I will always remember waking up from the surgery in recovery and feeling the IMMEDIATE difference in my shoulders – a weight had quite literally been lifted from my shoulders, it was unbelievable! Since then life has only improved! The pain in my neck and shoulders left me, my physiotherapist still can’t get over the difference. As much as I did this to help my discomfort I can’t comprehend the difference it has made to my confidence with every day life as well. I no longer have to wear big, bulky uncomfortable bras with thick straps and instead can wear cute little bras – or even no bra at all! Even choosing nightwear is so much more fun!

Pre op I wore a 36 HH bra size and I am now a very happy and perky 34 D! My only regret is not doing this sooner. It has changed my life and every day I get up, put on a cute little bralette and thank Lisa daily!! Lisa is absolutely amazing with all of her aftercare and follow up appointments.

She is like no other surgeon or doctor I have ever met – she explains everything in the most caring and informative way while still maintaining such professionalism. She encourages you to ask questions, she’s happy to spend time with you to ensure that you are happy with every aspect (both pre and post op), there was never any pressure at all. You will go along way to find a better surgeon than Lisa.

Anna – BREAST REDUCTION + Scar Revision

I’m now 69 years old and have just had the scar revision (delayed by pandemic) following my vertical breast reduction.

After the births of my two children, I’d become more and more unhappy with the shape and size of my breasts. I was too self-conscious to see a male surgeon. When Lisa was recommended by a friend, I didn’t hesitate.

I’ve gone from a F cup down to a C. The result is beautiful. My confidence has improved, my posture has improved, and I no longer need to buy expensive specialist lingerie and swimwear. The freedom after all these years is a joy.

It’s a big procedure with a long recovery but the results have absolutely been worth it. Lisa has an excellent surgical team and the aftercare has been exemplary. I have felt supported every step of the way and my only regret is that I didn’t do this earlier!
